Highbury Primary School

About Us

Welcome to Highbury Primary School

I am delighted to welcome you to Highbury Primary School which is a happy and safe place to learn.

Highbury Primary School and Nursery is at the heart of a thriving and diverse local community which is proud to be part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust.  Our aim is for the children to leave us with kindness, high aspirations and an enthusiasm for learning.

Our belief is that primary school education is an experience that all children should enjoy to the full.  We therefore offer a broad and balanced curriculum.  The multicultural dimension of our school community is strength; we celebrate our many diverse backgrounds, helping our children to become positive and responsible citizens. Together we can ensure that the pupils grow to become confident and resilient learners in a happy and safe environment.  Pupils are treated as individuals and their talents are fostered in a ‘can do’ inclusive climate.

We strive to build strong relationships with our parents, and we value and encourage their involvement and support.  By building and maintaining strong partnerships between everyone involved directly with the school and the wider community, we will continue to develop our vision of ‘Valued as Individuals, Inspired and Nurtured as Learners’ for all.

Please take some time to browse our website; it is full of information and should give you a taste of our school and provides an insight to the learning and fun within our vibrant school community.  The best way for you to gain a feel for the ‘heart’ and ‘ethos’ of our school is to organise a visit.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our nursery and school, and it will be my pleasure to show you around.
