Well the first 2 weeks of term have gone in a flash and we have been very busy, building dens in 100 Acre Wood, decorating our classrooms to make them look like magical woods and learning songs to help us sing along with the Stan and Mabel show we will attend next week.
If you are able to help us with this trip please let your child’s class teacher know asap.

MISSING Ladybird Toy 23rd December 2017
Could all Ladybirds please keep an eye out at home for Dotty’s Special Person friend (Ty Ladybird Toy)?
It was not in the bag when it came home with me for Christmas 🙁

20th December 2017
Since completing our Nativity we have visited the library, where we listened to a story from the librarian and then we spent time choosing books for our reading corner.
We enjoyed the stalls at the Christmas Fayre. I enjoyed Hook-a Bag at the fayre, I won a big balloon and a sticky spider. (Brooke)
I was lucky enough to win The Name The Bear competition. It’s name was Rosie. She sits on my bed at home and I cuddle her at night. (Jayda)
It was fun when I won Paddington Bear on the Teddy Tombola. (Lexi)
I really liked making paper chains with Harry to decorate our classroom. (Mark)
It was fun in PPA when we made snowman biscuits with Miss Shiers. (Isabelle Sykes)
The Christmas lunch we really fun with music and crackers! (Bethany)
We have all had a brilliant half term and are really looking forward to going to 100 Acre Woods in January! (10th Jan 2018)
Thank you to all the PPA ladies for our fab party!! 🙂
Happy Christmas to all our families.
11th December 2017
Over the last few weeks we have learnt about Guy Fawkes. He put gunpowder under the Houses of Parliament because he was a gunpowder expert.
To remember this we had sparklers in Forest School on Nov 5th.
We made big poppies for Remembrance Sunday to remember all the people who died in all the wars.
We have been practicing very hard and then performing our Nativity-Hosanna Rock! I got to sing two duets as Joseph and I was a bit nervous, but I was brave and really good. (Thomas )
My favourite part was when we sang Nobody Wants to Know because it was dramatic and the innkeepers were funny. (Ava)
This half term has been really exciting thanks to all the teachers.
Ava Morey and Thomas McCaffray
Homework Friday 8th December 2017 Due in 13th December 2017

Hello and welcome to Ladybird Class.
Mrs Taylor and Mrs Chadwick teach us, along with Mr Lloyd this year.
So far, this year we have had great fun. We have been on a huge double decker coach to the Chichester Planetarium to learn all about space. We got to sit in the dome and it was so dark! We saw constellations, the space station and the sun and moon rising and setting in the sky above us.
We researched the 1969 moon landing and read a class story about an adventure on the moon. We were even able to invent our own ending to this story as Mrs Taylor stopped reading on a cliffhanger!
We made rockets, and paper plate planets as well as a clay and natural material alien in Forest School lessons.
To finish this half term, we have been learning all about Kenya in Languages Week. We have learnt a Swahili song and tried to count to 10 in Swahili too. To celebrate all our learning our families came to see us do our Maasai Warrior dance in the hall in our red outfits, complete with Maasai necklaces and bracelets. We then enjoyed some yummy mandazis (Kenyan doughnuts) and bananas with orange slices. Yum!
What a busy first half term we have had. Next half term-Nativity!
