Welcome to Owl Class with Miss Wride and Miss Shiers.
It has been very busy half term for all of Owl class who have been learning words for their nativity as well as all their usual lessons!
Owl class have been working hard recently in Maths learning about measuring length and height. We made use of our outside area to find objects which were more than and less than a metre as well as trying to measure each other and some teachers.
In English Owl class have been writing thank you letters from Mary to the King for the generous gifts he brought for baby Jesus. They then innovated their letters and thought up their own characters and presents. We had all sorts of characters ranging from knights to animals!
Owl class worked especially hard on their nativity production and we hope you all enjoyed as much as the children enjoyed performing it. They did a brilliant job remembering all their words and lyrics.
We have also enjoyed having the opportunity to visit local churches to learn about stained glass windows and the interesting differences between St Colman’s Church and Cosham Baptist Church.
Next term Owl class will be reading The Enchanted Wood and be investigating the plants around us and how they live.
This term we will be blasting off into our first theme all about Space!
After putting on our space suits, we are going to explore the vast expanse of the universe and all that it contains.
We will be working hard in all our subjects just like the astronauts train before a spacewalk.
Information and pictures will be uploaded about all our amazing adventures.
We hope that you will enjoy seeing all the exciting activities and work that we will be doing.CLICK HERE FOR OWLS CLASS BLOG
