In working towards the aim of the school we strive to:

have high but realistic expectations to the potential of each child;

have in place a consistent set of shared values which are known and agreed by everyone and which reflect in the day-to-day life of the school and nursery;

celebrate achievement and share success with others;

recognise individual pupils' needs and plan, support and celebrate their progress;

achieve academic excellence by ensuring that each pupil performs to the best of their ability;

develop pupils' skill to work independently and share responsibility for their learning;

encourage pupils' to be independent thinkers and give them the opportunity and skill to reflect on their actions and achievements;

ensure that finances are used effectively to support priorities outlines in the school development plan and that they have a direct and positive impact on the standards achieved by pupils;

provide a stimulating environment which reflect the values of the school and nursery;

provide a healthy , clean, safe and secure environment;

in which all members of the community are expected to demonstrate:

sensitivity to the needs of individuals and patience in helping each other to succeed;

respect for each other and each other's belongings;

an understanding of the concept of 'honourable failure' whereby each individual has the confidence to experience failure and to learn from it;
