Highbury Primary School Early Years Foundation Stage, situated within Highbury Primary School, Cosham, offers a spacious, vibrant and caring environment specialising in quality Care and Early Years Education for children aged 2 - 5 years of age.
Highbury's special features are:- a large and interesting garden, with its own forest area for the children to explore and den build, a soft play zone, which benefits children by having physical play opportunities throughout the year.
Highbury Primary School Early Years Foundation Stage is separated into 4 rooms providing; a separate room for 2 - 3 year olds (Cygnet), 3 - 4 year olds (Swan), 4 - 5 year olds (Hedgehog) and (Squirrel). Each room is well equipped with age related equipment, and is designed creating a bright fun environment in which children can enjoy learning and exploring something different each session.
Early Years Learning and Development
The Early Years Foundation Stage is made up of six connected areas of learning and development. Together they make up the skills, knowledge and experiences appropriate for young children as they grow, learn and develop.

We ensure that your child's learning and development occur as an outcome of there individual interests and abilities and that our planning takes account of these.

Our enabling environment is specifically designed to encourage your child to be confident to explore and become increasingly independent in selecting their own resources.

We are open from 7:50am to 18:00pm daily. The Nursery offer term time only attendances.
At Highbury Nursery and Day Care the children wear a blue uniform. This uniform can be purchased from the Nursery and consists of a blue T-shirt and a blue sweatshirt with a nursery logo on it. Additionally, there is also a book bag, which is used for the child's Key Worker and information letters.
